The Delayed Egress (DE) Exit Device provides a controlled egress for openings which require Panic or Fire Go out Hardware for condom egress. Information technology is a self independent exit device, which when armed volition deny exit to unauthorized personnel for fifteen or 30 seconds, while simultaneously sounding a local or remote audible alarm. Specification
OPERATION – The device secures the door in the locked style with the Blood-red LED indicating locked status. Depressing the Touchbar by accident or for less than the Nuisance Delay Time will sound the alarm without initiating the warning sequence. Depressing the Touchbar with less than fifteen pounds pressure, for longer than the Nuisance Delay Fourth dimension will initiate an irreversible local audible beeping tone and a visual Red indicator until the device releases. Later on the delay egress time the lock releases and the warning changes to a steady tone which continues to warning until Reset. The remote monitoring contact output can be used to alert security personnel. The person depressing the Touchbar is denied egress (for 15 or 30 seconds) and security personnel are alerted for quick response.
TRIM – All standard device trims and functions are available, including "03" part, Trim Lock/Unlock will role normally even when the delayed egress feature is armed. The Device volition simply be affected when the Touchbar is depressed from the inside. All (DE) Rim and Mortise Devices are too bachelor with Electric Lock/Unlock for the exterior Trim.
The Delayed Egress Devices are manufactured and tested to exceed ANSI 156.iii and 156.24. Devices are UL Listed as a Controlled Exit Device (FULA) and Special Locking Arrangements (FWAX) category. Meets all requirements of NFPA 101.
FEATURES FIRE ALARM CONTACTS
ARMED-MOMENTARY EGRESS – Turning the key clockwise allowsauthorized personnel to exit without alarming. At the stop of the field selectable time period (10, 20 or 30 seconds), the device will relock and rearm.
DE-DEVICE NETWORKING Characteristic – This feature allows a Delayed Egress device to arm, alarm, reset and disarm all devices on the same circuit. Each device will go on to operate independently for Momentary Egress.
NUISANCE Filibuster Time – A Nuisance Delay Time helps avoid inadvertent activation. The alert volition sound when the touchbar is pressed, but the alarm sequence will not start unless the bear on bar is held in for more than than the Nuisance Delay Fourth dimension. Delay Time is field selectable for 0, 1, 2 or iii seconds.
INTEGRAL KEY SWITCH

EXTERNAL INHIBIT
Arm/Rearm – Accepts a contact to Arm/Rearm the device.
Momentary Egress – Accepts a contact to provide temporary convincing to allow for momentary egress when the device is in the armed state. The Momentary Egress volition be engaged as long as the switch closure is maintained.
Reset – Accepts a contact to reset the device during alarm.
DOOR POSITION SWITCH – used in conjunction with the Delayed Egress Get out Device, the following security features are added: The Exit Device Alarm will audio if the door is non closed when the device is armed.
